A TASTE OF CUSTER
The Black Hills are full of outdoor attractions and national monuments, but the food adventures in South Dakota are a vibe all their own. Whether you’re looking to indulge in the foodie scene, enjoy a laid-back meal with loved ones, or sip a taste of South Dakota, there’s a restaurant in Custer for you!
A wildly good ‘ol time, the Gold Pan Saloon is the oldest bar in Custer—probably dating back to the 1880s-1890s—so it’s inevitable that you’ll feel uber authentic western vibes when you walk through the infamous swinging doors. Now the classic establishment has a cabin feel, with cowhide barstools and plaid upholstered chairs. Along with drinks are limited delicious bar food items. Live music on the first and third Saturday of the month.
